Seeking biodiversity credits in Western Sydney, Sydney-Hunter and South East

Are you a landholder from the Western Sydney or Sydney-Hunter and South East region with an existing BioBanking Agreement or a BioBanking application currently under assessment by OEH? Do you have biodiversity credits to sell?

[Please note that this offer no longer exists]

The Biodiversity Conservation Trust (BCT) is currently seeking to purchase biodiversity credits needed to meet developer offset obligations in the Western Sydney and Sydney-Hunter and South East area.

We will be buying biodiversity credits through two Conservation Tenders targeting these regions:

The Western Sydney Biodiversity Offsets Conservation Tender

Tender bids opened on Monday 5 November and will close on Friday 30 November.

Through this tender, we aim to purchase existing BioBanking ecosystem credits equivalent to Cumberland Plain Woodland and Shale Sandstone Transition Forest critically endangered ecological communities.

The Sydney - Hunter and South East Biodiversity Offsets Conservation Tender

Tender bids opened on Monday 19 November and will close on Friday 14 December.

Through this tender, we aim to purchase existing BioBanking ecosystem and species credits from landholders in the Sydney-Hunter and South East area.

While these offers are only available for landholders who have existing BioBanking Agreements or current BioBanking Agreement applications, the BCT will, in the future, provide opportunities for new landholders to work with the BCT to enter into Biodiversity Stewardship Agreements and sell their credits to the BCT.
